Stuck on Stupid! - VirtualBox (
Windows XP - An operating system that is now obsolete - Was my favorite Windows operating system. I liked many of the features in it and, as quiet as it's kept, I still use it today. If you're like me in this regard, you want to be able to still use your favorite OS (if you're at all tech savvy) but still flow in the latest and greatest OS with the latest hardware. One way I've found to do it is with a program called VirtualBox by Oracle.

VirtualBox is a (free) utility that affords you the ability to continue using your favorite OS on your computer in a virtual environment, whether PC/Desktop or laptop. You install it within your current OS (PC or Mac) and follow the prompts through the end of the install. After you've installed VirtualBox, you can then install all the software you're accustomed to running normally in that particular OS.

Sounds a bit "techy", I know, but think of it this way: there are some software applications that run better on certain OS's and if you want to be able to use them without glitches you may experience in a later version of an OS, then this is definitely the way to go. I have a particular e-mailing software I am hooked on using and it won't properly install in Windows 7 because the platform doesn't have the capacity to handle it. So I setup VirtualBox, dropped Windows XP on it and away I go! For those of you who want this flexibility, consider giving VirtualBox a try for that software you just can't seem to do without.
